# Aug 20 2025: 💬 Message Centre - Activate Direct and Clinician-Only Channels Separately

Previously, when activating patient channels, both the **Direct Channel** (with the patient) and the **Clinician-Only Channel** were enabled together. Now, these channels can be **activated independently**, giving team members more control.

### ✨ What’s New

- **🧩 Independent activation** – Activate a Direct Channel without the Clinician-Only Channel, or vice versa.
- **⚙ Greater flexibility** – Choose which channel types are relevant for each patient scenario.

- **More control for team members** – Decide which channels should be active in your Message Centre.
- **Tailored communication** – Keep channels relevant by enabling only what’s needed.
- **Less clutter** – Avoid unnecessary channels being activated when they aren’t required.
