# Aug 25 2025: 📧 Team Member can Deactivate Unread Message Email Notifications

We’ve added a new configuration option in the **Staff Profile** so team members can choose whether or not they want to receive unread message email notifications.

### ✨ What’s New

- **🔔 New toggle** – “Receive Unread Message Email Notifications” has been added to the Staff Profile.
- **✅ On** – Team member receives unread message email notifications (current behaviour).
- **🚫 Off** – Team member will no longer receive unread message email notifications.

### 💡 How it helps

- **Gives staff control** – Team members can decide if email reminders for unread messages are helpful or unnecessary.
- **Reduces inbox clutter** – Those who prefer to manage messages directly in the platform can turn off emails.
- **Flexible preferences** – Supports different working styles across the organisation.

### 🔧 How to update this setting

1. Go to **My Profile**.
2. Scroll down to find the new toggle: **Receive Unread Message Email Notifications**.
3. Switch it **On** or **Off** depending on your preference.
