Direct Messages (DMs)
Direct Messages (DMs) allow Team Members to communicate securely in private channels that are not tied to a patient profile. They can be one-to-one or involve multiple Team Members.
💬 What are Direct Messages?

A private channel for Team Members only.

Can be 2 or more participants.

Not connected to a patient record.

Ideal for coordination, quick discussions, or sharing updates internally.
🛠️ How to Start a Direct Message

Open the Message Centre in the Clinical Portal.

Go to the Direct Messages section.

Click the ➕ (plus) button.

Search for and select the Team Member(s) you’d like to include.

✅ A DM channel will be created and appear in all selected participants’ Message Centre lists.

🔒 Privacy & Security

Only Team Members added to the DM can see its content.

DMs are secure and compliant, just like other channel types.

🚫 DMs are not logged in patient records, since they are not patient-related.
