Display Names & Avatars in Messaging
Patients can personalise how they appear in messaging by updating their display name and avatar (profile picture). This is especially useful in Group Channels, where patients may wish to maintain some privacy or anonymity.
📝 How Patients Update Their Display Name & Avatar

Open the Message Centre in the mobile app or web portal.

Tap the Profile tab inside the Message Centre.

Click Edit.

Update your:

Display Name – the name that appears to other participants.

Avatar Image – upload or change your profile picture.

Click Save to confirm changes.

👀 What Others See

In Group Channels:

Patients see each other’s display names and avatars.

This allows for nicknames or anonymised names if preferred.
