We’re excited to introduce Patient Events — a new way for clinics to schedule structured, non-clinical time directly into a patient’s calendar.

Think of this as a “self-appointment” for patients — events that don’t require a clinician, don’t include video calls, and don’t need attendance tracking — but still appear seamlessly within the patient’s schedule. 🗓️

✨ What’s New

➕ Add Patient Events from the Patient Appointments Screen

A new + Patient Event button has been added to the Patient Appointments screen.

When selected, it opens a modal with the following fields:

  • Event Name (required)

  • Description (optional)

  • Date (required)

  • Start Time (required)

  • End Time (required)

  • Location (optional)

  • Room (optional)

  • Internal Note (optional)

🧍 Designed for Non-Clinical, Patient-Only Events

These events are ideal for structured activities such as:

  • 📖 30-minute reading time

  • 🏋️ 60-minute gym session

  • 🚶 2-hour off-site leave

  • 🧘 Meditation time

  • 📚 Study blocks

They are:

  • ✅ Patient-only (no clinician or other patient involved)

  • ❌ No video calls attached

  • ❌ No attendance status required (Attended / DNA / Cancelled not applicable)

  • ❌ No email or push reminders triggered

📱 Fully Integrated into the Patient Schedule

Patient Events will:

  • Appear in the Patient Appointments page

  • Be visible in Upcoming Appointments within the mobile app and Patient Web Portal (PWP)

  • Be included in the PDF printout of the Patient Schedule

Note: As with existing logic, the PDF schedule excludes cancelled items and only displays Booked/Attended events.

🔁 Editable & Flexible

Patient Events can be:

  • ✏️ Rescheduled

  • 🗑️ Deleted

This ensures flexibility while maintaining structure within inpatient or residential workflows.

Including Patient Events in the schedule PDF allows:

  • Clear printed daily schedules

This release enhances Wellifiy’s scheduling capability by recognising that meaningful care extends beyond clinician-led sessions.
